Brian Schmidt
Owner
Brian started his career in home building with a well-respected, local custom and spec builder in 1998. In 2014, he and Chris started Lightbox Portland to deliver high performance, high density, modern homes to Portland’s close-in neighborhoods. Brian also holds an active Oregon real estate license and has extensive skills in new and existing home sales. He has served in leadership positions in the Home Builder’s Association of Portland since 2005, culminating in his role as HBA President for 2017.
Chris Dawkins
Owner
Chris is a licensed Oregon principal real estate broker and the owner of the Dawkins Group. He has extensive background in land, new construction, and existing home sales. Chris has been working with builders in Portland’s infill neighborhoods since 2008. He is well-versed in Portland’s development code. With a background in environmental science, Chris has always held an interest in energy-efficient and environmentally-responsible homes.
Loren Birmingham
Construction Manager
Loren has 30+ years in the construction industry with experience in framing, company ownership, condominium construction, and international land development. He also built his own custom, off-the-grid home in Eastern Oregon.
Carly Hunt
Office Manager
With office management experience spanning numerous industries, including medical and construction, Carly keeps Lightbox Portland running smoothly by performing much of the behind-the-scenes work.
